FAQ – Appt tips – Location

Have a question? Hopefully the answer’s here

Q: Where are you located?
– Angkorian Tattoo
2700 NE Andresen Rd
Suite D20
Vancouver, WA 98661
United States

We are located in a business plaza (green roofing) with multiple businesses. We are upstairs.

Q: Deposits, how do they work?
– Deposits ALWAYS go towards the full amount of your tattoo session. Deposits aren’t usually refundable, but possibly transferable. If someone does a no call no show it’s an automatic deposit forfeiture. I always try my best to work fair and deposits ensure my schedules reliability to all of my clients.

Q: What if I need to reschedule?
Rescheduling too close to your appointment (3 days) will forfeit half of your deposit. Life happens! And it’s just business. Every situation is different and I always try and be fair. Keep in mind, rescheduling may also push you back a months wait time for your tattoo.

Keep your appointment time in mind! Rush hour can sneak up, and even if you’re “only” 30 minutes late, that can highly influence the amount of tattooing we could’ve accomplished since I work efficiently. Depending on the day, we might even need to reschedule you to another day (possibly a month out) with another deposit needed. It’s a real bummer when this happens but a realistic possibility

Q: Can I get tattooed while sun burnt? Or on antibiotics? Or blood thinners? (Aspirin)
– No unfortunately. All will highly increase the risk of infection, and if you don’t get an infection, your tattoo could heal like poo. Being tattooed while sunburnt can push dead skin cells back into your body and can possibly cause a staph infection. Being tattooed while on antibiotics will make your body drastically fight the natural healing process. Being tattooed while on blood thinners will make your blood dilute the ink, influencing how vibrant and solid your tattoo comes out – so your tattoo might be new but it’ll look like it’s 3 years old once healed. BEING VERY HUNGOVER can cause this same effect depending on your body. (Tylenol is ok, aspirin is not)

Q: What should I wear?
– Something comfy, and something that matches your tattoo location (thigh=shorts, calf=shorts, sternum=pasties, hip/thigh=stretchy underwear or thong, upper arm=tank top). In all seriousness, some people come in sweats and even bring a favorite squishmallow for comfort!

Q: Why is the studio door usually locked?
– It prevents unknown people from randomly walking in the studio, taking our focus off of your current project. We unlock the door right at your appointment time

Q: Are plus ones allowed?
– The studio is comfy enough to accommodate each artist and their current client. The ‘lobby’ area has only 2 seats and may be used up if another artist has a group session scheduled. Visitors are ok, but also understandably last priority on the space take up totem pole
